You really don't need a website at all to make money on the Internet. Many people are making a killing on the Internet without a website! All over the Internet you can read stories of thousands and thousands of website owners who don't earn a penny from their sites. Then many more who earn nothing much to live on!
So my advice is to learn FIRST how to make money on line! This is your most important skill. Learn how to attract someone to an ad or a buy now button. Once you do that, then, if it fits what you want to accomplish in your Internet business, start worrying about a website.
